EXPLORE TINOS
Restaurants & tavernas
Food connoisseurs will not be disappointed by the range of different options available on the island’s tavernas and restaurants. You can try meat and traditional Greek cuisine and local products at affordable prices at the taverna called “Vasilis (Drosia)” at Ktikados village or at “Tsampia” at Kionia beach.
A little well-hidden taverna called “Katoi” at the village of Smardakito is also worth a visit.
For meat lovers, “Dio Horia” taverna at the homonymous village is a good option.
If you’re more interested in fish and seafood, “Dinos” at Ormos Yianaki, “Tarsanas” (wide range of Greek wines) and “Itan ena mikro karavi” in Hora (the town of Tinos), would all be good options for you.
Two beachfront seafood restaurants that also also include beach bars and sunbeds/umbrellas are “Marathia” at Aghios Fokas beach and “Bianco” at Vourni beach (country-road parts on the way to Vourni beach).
A new-entry, upscale, seafront restaurant, using local products and also offering tasting menus is “Thama” in Hora (the town of Tinos)
Last but not least, “Thalassaki” at Ormos Isternion is the most famous restaurant on the island. Located by the sea, it offers Mediterranean "creative" cuisine based mainly on fish and seafood - of course, it’s more on the expensive side, but you won’t be disappointed.
